Beth Morrison Series

Join Indiana Conservation Officer Beth Morrison as she tackles dangerous criminals, vicious wild animals, and rampant chauvinism in this heart-pounding thriller series. Immerse yourself in her adrenaline-fueled adventures as Beth blazes her way through the wilds of nature and the twists of human nature, showing there’s no obstacle she can’t overcome.

Fresh Water

When conservation officer Beth Morrison hears of a shark in the waters of an Indiana lake chain, she, like everyone else, doesn’t believe it. Not only does Beth have to put up with the wild stories, but she also has to navigate her way through the chauvinistic attitude of other law enforcement officers while dealing with the sudden reemergence of a former lover who betrayed her several years prior. Her new assignment throws her in the middle of a long-standing residential feud and thrusts her face to face with Mark Taylor – the man who had once crushed her soul. Mark’s daughter, Casey, must convince Beth and the others of the shark’s existence before it strikes again. With another muggy Indiana summer weekend approaching, it’s just a matter of time until the eight-foot bull shark discovers another meal.

The Watershed

Things had yet to return to normal on and around Lake Bennett after the infamous shark situation during the previous summer. Local businesses were suffering. Residents found themselves wanting to move away, but couldn’t eat the dramatic drop in the property values. Tensions rose as the locals sat on edge. Some believed a shark still roamed the waters of the lake chain. Others wanted to move on with their lives.

DNR Officer Beth Morrison decides to use an opportunity to put two of the potential antagonists together to resolve their differences. Between responding to supposed shark sightings and preparing for the upcoming hunting season, Beth confronts both men and forces them to air out their grievances. Will it result in a truce? Or will it re-invigorate the ongoing feud of the Lake Bennett residents?

The Watershed bridges the gap between Fresh Water (Book 1) and Panthera (Book 2) in the Beth Morrison series.

Panthera

Indiana DNR Officer Beth Morrison returns as terror strikes the community of King County once again.  When domestic terrorists release the residents of the Panthera compound, several large predatory cats threaten the population.  The incident coincides with opening day of bow hunting season.  Several hunters find themselves stranded and stalked as tigers, leopards and lions roam the vast stretches of woods and residential areas.

Working with multiple departments to contain the disaster, Beth finds herself thrown back into the chaos of navigating even more male-dominated agencies.  The conservation officer has to again team up with the King County Sheriff’s Department.  This time, the sheriff and deputies of the adjacent Mason County lead the cooperative task of locating the animals and terminating them.

Staff members of Panthera scramble to find and return as many of their escaped cats as they can before the officers put them down.  Beth finds herself caught in the middle of groups with different agendas as they race against the clock and each other to resolve this catastrophe.

More predators.  More victims.  More danger.
