When Senator Alan Haines pushes back against a growing political agenda, he is publicly murdered in spectacular fashion.  The killers know their message has been received – stay in line or face the consequences.  However, they didn’t count on someone trying to turn the tables on them by hunting them down one by one.  And they certainly didn’t expect that ferocity to come from Chad Haines – Alan’s seemingly-lackadaisical son.

 The third-year college student sets out on a quest to eliminate all of those involved before they discover his identity and destroy everything and everyone in his life.  His journey rips him from campus and sees him traveling the country in order to exact his revenge.

 Right before the senator’s murder, Chad finds himself entranced with a fellow student, Holly Brady.  Stumbling through an awkward start, they are drawn together, falling deeper and deeper in love.  Once the chain of events starts, Chad fights to compartmentalize the two different lives he’s living.  Realizing she will be in danger if they learn that he’s the one hunting them, Chad decided to leave her behind.  But an unexpected discovery sends him racing back to Holly’s side.

 As if his life wasn’t confusing enough, Holly’s roommate, Jennifer Woodson, throws herself in his path.  Her exotic beauty and overly-flirtatious advances become harder to avoid as the adrenaline of his mission pull on his soul.  He has to cipher all of his emotions and defeat his own demons before the final showdown during a presidential campaign in New York City.
