Dead Man Series
Join James Laudon, a criminal caught in the crossfire of his own dire situation, as he is kidnapped by an elite team of supernatural assassins working under top-secret government agencies. Struggling to find his place among the unlikely mix of a double-amputee cryptozoologist, a defanged vampire, a hot-headed werewolf, a seductive British vampire, and a reticent pure-blood werewolf, Laudon must navigate this thrilling and dangerous world while battling the constant question of who he can trust and where he truly belongs.
Dead Man’s Touch
After getting kidnapped out of Fort Leavenworth (where he’s awaiting his murder trial), James Laudon, perennial screw-up, finds himself under the thumb of an eclectic group of assassins. The above-top-secret agency works under the umbrella of both DARPA and the Department of Defense.
Led by their double-amputee boss, cryptozoologist Zane Newton, the killers include: Alexander Anatoli (Xander) – a homosexual vampire who had his fangs removed, Charlie – a Hispanic werewolf with a temper, Tisby – a sexy black British vampire, and Earlham – a pure-blood werewolf who rarely speaks. How does Laudon fit in with this group? The only thing he knows is that the four eye him like kids salivating at the chocolate fountain at Golden Corral.
Laudon is told that he’s here to assist the team in their effort to curtail the rapidly growing werewolf population. They know that Barstow, another pure-blood werewolf and former member of the unit, is responsible for the recent increase of lycanthropes. They must uncover Barstow’s plan while maintaining their responsibilities to the DOD.
Already assumed dead from a staged suicide at the prison, Laudon has no choice but to join their ranks – his only other option is to get eaten. Laudon’s smart (and foul) mouth gets the group into more trouble than they imagined. He manages to get under the skin of friends and enemies alike. Along the way, he desperately tries to discover the truth behind his inclusion in this group.
A Deal With The Devil
Perennial screw-up, James Laudon, finds himself behind bars for a crime he absolutely committed. In the dark of night, a pair of mysterious men abduct him from his cell and replace him with a dead body. With the world believing him dead, he is offered a deal – join this above-top-secret agency of supernatural assassins, or die for real this time. Laudon opts in and soon learns that his death is more imminent than he thought.
The Dogman Cometh
Accompanied by a werewolf simply known as Charlie, James Laudon ventures out on his first mission for the DARPA-funded group. While investigating reports of mysterious encounters and strange noises, the pair find a hell of a lot more than they anticipated. Even the presence of a werewolf isn’t enough to deter the monster they confront.
Trouble’s Coming
Adam Kluteski (Klutch) escorts his girlfriend, Corra Whitmer, to what he believes is a hoax – a werewolf initiation ritual. The couple soon find themselves running for their lives. A savage betrayal and some quick thinking leave Klutch behind bars at the local police station. Two members of a top secret DARPA branch, Zane Newton and Earlham (no last name), pose as FBI agents and lead the investigation into Corra’s disappearance. The search unearths a horrifying plot to increase the werewolf population and expose it to the unsuspecting public.
Trouble’s Coming is an excerpt story from the novel Dead Man’s Touch.

In the midst of the random assault/counter-assault tests, Laudon discovers a horrible secret about Xander’s past and realizes the two of them aren’t so different after all

When the popular YouTube investigative team, The Bulloch Brothers, venture into Kentucky’s Land Between the Lakes in search of the infamous Beast of the LBL, they get much more than they could have ever anticipated. The duo come up with a diabolical plan in an attempt to debunk or draw out the supposed dogman. But their antics could lead to more destruction and carnage than either could conceive.
Upon learning of the efforts of the brothers, members of the above-top-secret DARPA-funded group, DAWG, are sent in to minimize the damage and prevent the unnecessary loss of life. This group, however, stumbles onto more than just the Beast of the Land Between the Lakes. They find evidence of a dangerous military experimental project that threatens the lives of every member of their unit.
James Laudon will need more than his foul mouth and witty attitude to survive this encounter.
Ripper
In an effort to get the United States government off of their backs, Zane Newton request that Earlham reveal his supernatural abilities to President Taggert. The process causes Earlham to reflect on his not-so-glamourous past.
The flashback takes Earlham back to late 19th century England where he meets and befriends Barstow – the only other Vanguard werewolf he’d ever come across. The two often find themselves in conflict with each other – as two alpha predators trying to coexist. The bond between them reaches its limit when one of them goes on a brutal killing spree, leaving a trail of murders no one would ever solve.
